The update, which will be released free to registered users at the end of the month, also includes a number of viewport and performance enhancements, plus support for RenderMan volumetric primitives. I would love to have a nice pointcloud renderer and i remember that i have seen some rendering with the RF Renderkit inside C4D somewhere in this forum. At first I thought this plug-in required renderkti you have all the objects loaded at once - but I'll check. Currently I am afraid that a RenderKit plugin for Lightwave just isn't a priority. There was talk about it a while ago, but apparently there were limitations to the LW SDK that prevented this. Houdini edition of the renderer gets support for texture baking, and Nvidia's OptiX denoising in interactive renders.
Its realflw in the latest version of the plugin to be released soon.
RealFlow RenderKit 2.5 is now available
I downloaded the demo and i tested it. Macs are just problematic. All of my RealFlow work has been at reaoflow. The problem lies in the Vertex Shader, as it can only read two values towards each other and doesnt support xyz vectors…. However, I have not yet purchased a personal license. The trouble is, this kind of issues is self perpetuating. Do you know if it will work with meshes, or just rendered particles as spheres or whatever? rednerkit
Couldn't get it to work - probably not compatible with LW11 or Mac or a mixture of both. Ironically, LightWave used to have the best RF support as it could use the baked in motion vector data to add motion blur in a LW render. Oh man… why the hell is this so complicated.

Last edited by Darth Mole; at If we could get the plug-in and RFK support it would awesome. I think Realflow should show an renrerkit dialogue if no active license is found. Also Nextlimit were once talking about implementing Weight Map support for the RF-native Renderkit Mesher, at the moment you have to use the Standard mesher if you want to mix fluids.
Now LW doesn't even have a plug-in that works properly.
